The design system I wanted

Free, unopinionated and easy to customise

Free and open source
AcmeDS is made by a Product Designer for Product Designers. I want to make the world an easy to use and better place to live for as many as possible and this is my way of helping. It’s free, no credit required.
Designed to be unopinionated
It’s a great design to begin with (I think) so it’s easy to get some nice looking ideas up quickly, but it’s meant to be a starting point for your style. Once you get going, simply change the atoms and the rest updates — making it easy for you to find your style.
Cascading styles to define yours quickly
The big thing we wanted to do with AcmeDS was make it easy to create your own style. We don’t want homeginised web apps. That’s why we’ve made it easy to change the base elements and define your own brand and style easily.
Variants to the yazoo
All buttons, forms and most other elements are easily updated in context with Figma variants. Want to change that primary button to secondary — do it there and then, in context.
Auto layouts all the way
All components and pages are built to use Figma auto layouts so you can easily scale them to fit in a variety of different contexts.
We value your feedback
AcmeDS has been created to help speed up and improve the quality of UI design in the industry. If you have feedback on how it can be improved, including feature requests, please let us know.
